Bald Hill Compost Site - High Plain Road
Dear Bald Hill permit holder,
Many of you have expressed a preference for Bald Hill permits to be valid for the calendar year rather than the fiscal year. We are happy to announce that we've received approval to transition our permit sales to the calendar year.
If you currently hold a valid permit that is set to expire on June 30th, your renewal fee will be $12.50 for a permit which will expire on December 31, 2011.
If you are not currently a permit holder, the fee for your permit will be $25.00 for a permit which will expire on December 31, 2011.
Residential Use Permits for the Calendar Year 2012 will be available starting November of 2011. The fee will be $25.00.

Spring Schedule: April 11, 2011 - May 31, 2011
- Mondays and Saturdays: Open 8:00am to 4:00pm
- Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays: Open 12 noon to 4:00pm Summer Schedule: June 1, 2011 - October 1, 2011
- Wednesdays: Open 12 noon to 4:00pm
- Saturdays: Open 8:00am to 4:00pm Fall Schuedule: October 3, 2011 - November 27, 2011
- Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays: Open 12 noon to 4:00pm
- Fridays and Saturdays: Open 8:00am to 4:00pm
The gates are locked and the Site is closed at all other days and times.
Note: Illegal dumping is subject to penalties and fines.
Permit Fee
- Went into effect September 1, 2009
- Residential Permit Fee (Andover residents only): $25.00 per vehicle
- Maximum two vehicles per address.
- Commercial Permit Fee: $1,000.00 for the first vehicle
- Maximum three vehicles total per business.
- Additional vehicles $100.00 each.
- Restricted to Andover based businesses only.
Regulation
Permits are issued by the Plant & Facilities Department. Tel: 978-623-8472. The vehicle registration number will be printed on the sticker when issued (the sticker must be affixed to the lower corner of the windshield on the driver's side).

- Send a self addressed stamped envelope
- Copy of Vehicle Registration
- Check for $24.00, made out to “Town of Andover”

- A copy of the Vehicle Registration
