250th Anniversary Committee
The 250th Anniversary Committee was established by the Town of Andover to ensure that the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence is recognized in a meaningful and memorable way in our community throughout 2026. The Committee is charged with planning and promoting public events, highlighting Andover's own contributions to the American Revolution, and creating opportunities for residents to celebrate, learn, and reflect on the people and stories that shaped the community at the time of our nation's founding.

Ballardvale Historic District Commission
The purpose of the Ballardvale Historic District Commission is to ensure that changes and additions within the Historic District are harmonious to the District, and to prevent changes that might detract from the aesthetic and historic values of the District.

Board of Assessors
The Board of Assessors is responsible for the valuation of all real estate and personal property items in the Town.

Board of Health
The Board of Health is responsible for promoting public health in Andover. It conducts investigations of health and environmental problems and manages and coordinates health programs and services within the town.

Board of Registrars
The Board of Registrars assist the Town Clerks' Office in promoting and maintaining voter registration.

Central Street Historic District Commission
The new Central Street Historic District committee will work to bring to Town Meeting in 2025 a historic district proposal for the Central Street area.

Commission on Disability
The Commission on Disability addresses Andover's disability needs for the Town and its residents, visitors and families with disabilities.

Conservation Commission
The Conservation Commission aims to protect Andover’s natural resources in accordance with state law and the Town's Wetlands Protection Bylaw, Article XIV, and to act as trustees in perpetuity of the town’s conservation land.

Council on Aging
The Council on Aging provides input and guidance to the Town and the Elder Services Division, which coordinates and carries out programs designed to meet the needs of the elderly, including Senior Center activities.

Cultural Council
The mission of the Andover Cultural Council is to promote cultural activities in Andover through the distribution of funds received from the state. The Council awards small grants to individuals and organizations that sponsor cultural activities.

Design Review Board
The Design Review Board's purpose is to advise the Town of Andover regarding applications for new construction, exterior alterations, and signage larger than 4 square feet in General Business and Mixed Use Districts, and to review all new municipal structures, including signage.

Elderly and Disabled Tax Fund Committee
The Elderly Tax Aid helps seniors who can't pay their taxes.

Finance Committee
The Finance Committee reviews the proposed budgets of all Town departments as well as financial warrant articles and provides recommendations to Town Meeting.

Greater Lawrence Regional Vocational Technical High School District Committee
The Greater Lawrence Technical School District Committee reports each year in conformity with the terms of the Agreement to Establish a Regional School District.
