Open Enrollment period for FY2027 begins April 2nd
Health, Dental, and Vision Open Enrollment - If you wish to enroll in new coverage you will need to fill out an enrollment form and provide supporting documentation (i.e. birth certificates of dependents or marriage certificates for spouses). If are making changes to your current coverage you will need to fill out a new enrollment form with your new elections. All changes will start on the first day of the new plan year which is July 1, 2026. Submit your forms to Town HR before the end of day Friday May 1st, 2026. All plan summaries, and options are currently available for your review on the Town Benefits website. *For most employees, deductions at the new FY 2027 rates will begin in June 2026, because we pay for our benefits a month in advance.
Health Insurance Opt-Out - The Health Insurance Opt-Out Program is an opportunity for current health insurance subscribers to opt-out of their Andover plan. In lieu of participation, employees will receive 12 monthly payments equal to 25% of the total annual premium cost of the coverage they are currently enrolled in. Opt-out payments are for a one-year term and will end June 30, 2027 for those opting out July 1, 2026.
To be eligible, employees must have been enrolled in an Andover plan by January 1, 2026 or earlier, and must have alternate coverage in place effective July 1, 2026. Proof of alternate coverage must be submitted along with the Health Insurance Opt-Out Election form. The deadline to for the Opt-Out program is May 1st, 2026 at 12:00 PM.
