[ARCHIVED] Halloween Trick-or-Treat Safety Tips and Information

Trick-or-Treat Safety

The Town of Andover has set Halloween Trick or Treating for Saturday, October 31st from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M.

The town recommends that trick-or-treating be conducted only with members of your household; do not invite guests to join you. Maintain social distancing of at least 6 feet of physical distance from all other participants who are not members of the same household. Allow space for those passing by, and wear a mask or face covering. Participating in any large gatherings is not recommended. Anyone who is sick or not feeling well should not participate.

Halloween activities during a pandemic have certain risks that individuals have to weigh based on their own personal levels of comfort.  Below please find creative ways to enjoy the holiday while following CDC and Commonwealth of Massachusetts recommendations.   Most importantly, if you do not want to participate in any Halloween activities, we ask that you shut off your outside lights on October 31st, and for those who are participating, please be respectful of your neighbors and only approach homes with their outside lights on.
