The Route 133 Corridor Public Enhancements Working Group was appointed in June 2025 to guide the Town of Andover’s investment in landscape and streetscape improvements along a vital 1.25-mile stretch of Route 133, from West Parish to Shawsheen Village.
The Working Group brings together residents, business leaders, and subject matter experts to collaborate with Town staff in shaping enhancements that improve the character, accessibility, and functionality of this key corridor. Their work focuses on:
- Exploring potential investments in streetscape enhancements, including but not limited to landscaping, lighting and street furniture
- Consulting with other professionals to obtain expert guidance as needed
- Facilitating community outreach and engagement activities
- Reviewing and providing feedback on design proposals and plans and facilitate a consensus
- Preparing and presenting periodic updates to the Select Board and other relevant Town stakeholders
Study Area
- Project Limits: Approximately 1.25 miles, from West Parish to Shawsheen Village.
- Key Intersections: Upgrades at Beacon Street/Shawsheen Road and Main Street (Route 28).

Timeline
The Working Group was appointed in June 2025, and is expected to remain active through the summer and fall of 2026, with key milestones and deliverables anticipated by late 2026.
